Blaine smiled against Kurt’s lips, then nodded and also took a couple of wet tissues before he got dressed in his jeans and red shirt, which he had brought from home as a clean change of clothes. He got dressed quickly and held onto Kurt’s hand as they kissed, nodding eagerly. “Let’s.” When they opened the door and saw his daughter coming towards them, the smile on his face and the warmth in his heart couldn’t be greater, and right there and then he realized that was all he needed, regardless of what he did, job-wise, his family was the center of his life. The child he wasn’t expecting but had brought so much happiness to his life, and the boy with whom he fell in love the moment he met him at those marble stairs. The two most important people in his life. He wrapped his arms around both of them, then kissed Mabel’s head. “And we’re glad you liked it, princess. NOw let’ go home, yes? We’ll grab some chinese food and cheesecake on the way and have a lovely evening at home.” After saying their goodbyes to their colleagues, they made way to the car and drove off, already tired from all the excitement the day had brought with it. They made two quick stops to grab their food and dessert, and soon after they were getting out of the car, into the elevator and up to their apartment, Blaine carrying the bags, while Kurt carried their almost asleep daughter.
Kurt happily beamed as the man he loved more than anything walked with him around to their car, he felt happier around his family than he ever would’ve around his co-stars. He had more fun, more interesting times and frankly, his family was cuter than every chorus boy. He happily carried his angel to the car and helped her buckle up before getting in and going home, the smell of chinese filled the car. Once home, Kurt carried their sleepy little angel into the apartment and he grinned just a little as he felt his daughter’s head on his shoulder “You sleepy honey?” he said softly, hearing a tiny little sound that was about as close to a ‘uh huh’ as it could get. He smiled “You think you can stay awake for dinner or do you want to just go to bed?” he was OK with either option if his angel was and the sleepy little angel pointed to her room and he giggled “OK sweetie, I’ll tuck you in but we’ll put some aside for you so if you wake up, you can have more” he happily turned and kissed Blaine “You serve it up, I’ll put this princess to bed” he whispered before he carried his angel to her bed and let her sleepily put on her pyjama’s and climbed into bed. He tucked her in and placed a little kiss on her forehead “Sweet dreams honey” he whispered and watched as she rolled over and said ‘Night daddy” and he beamed as he got up, going out to Blaine and hugging from behind “She’s so tired… If she doesn’t wake up till morning let’s just let her have the chinese for breakfast, she’s been so good” he whispered and put his head on the man’s shoulder “This is just the best night ever
